Representation with respect to zoning and planning disputes.

          The following are examples of our representation in this practice area:

            When a large, downtown commercial project proposed by a public agency required zoning variances, neighbors opposed to the project hired Sprague & Sprague to represent them. We contested the variances before the local zoning board and in the state courts, resulting in the agency’s ultimate abandonment of the project.

            The Firm regularly represents parties before local zoning and planning authorities, where we present our clients’ cases relating to variances, appeals of building permit issuances or denials, requests for special certificates, and similar matters. If warranted, we continue that representation in appeals of administrative rulings to the appropriate court(s).
